RetroPhone is a digital wellness app that helps you limit your smartphone use to a chosen time window. This page explains what data the app accesses and how it is handled.
Nothing is collected, transmitted, or stored on external servers. The app has no backend, no analytics, no advertising, and no account system.
RetroPhone requests access to your contacts so you can call and send text messages from within the app during your session. Contact data is read from your device and displayed on screen only. It is never stored, transmitted, or shared. If you deny contacts access, the app still works โ you can use the manual dialer.
The app plays a local audio file (a sound alert) when you leave the app during an active session. No audio is recorded. The microphone is not used.
The app stores your session history and Snake game scores locally on your device using iOS standard storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the app.
None. The app makes no network requests and integrates with no third-party services.
RetroPhone is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
If the privacy practices change in a future version, this page will be updated and the date above will reflect the change.
